The Starting Point provides a vital point for re-entry into mainstream society for recovering drug abusers.  It is a Christian-oriented home for men that stimulates their learning, restores spiritual growth and facilitates social skill development while maintaining a drug-free, safe environment.  We do so by providing a faith-based residential facility that provides either in-house or through collaborative partnership the following services:

The Starting Point is located at 329 Ausley Road, Tallahassee, FL 32304.  The program houses up to 10 men at a time.  The Starting Point is a long-term facility to which the men are encouraged to live up to eighteen months.  The services are not based on the ability to pay.  NO  ONE IS TURNED AWAY FOR LACK OF ABILITY TO PAY.  The weekly rate per client is $85.00.  Most men who come into this program, do not have a job, nor the funds, to pay the weekly rate.  Therefore we do not expect room and board until we assist the men with steady jobs.  The Starting Point is faith-based and affiliated with Innovation Baptist Church where Elder Jack P. Leland is the Pastor/Teacher.
